At this point I am hate-reading this the way they hate-fuck.

This book is so bad that it made me change my rating of the previous book. No magic systems are explained, no questions are answered, and this is the final book for this couple. So… good riddance I guess!

The narration is SO bad. The voices the female narrator is using for all male characters is rough but ESPECIALLY the arch-demons. They sound…….not……. All there?

I had no clue what to expect going into this. I adore the characters. I adore the “dude”-ology. As of right now, strong start and I’d totally recommend. Especially to my Cali dirtbags.

I’m surprised at how boring I find this so far. I’ve tried to read this 2 or 3 times at this point. As much as I love Julia Whelan, I think it’s her narration that’s dozing me off. I also think I’d have a better time reading a physical copy versus listening to the audiobook. If I space out for even 30 seconds the FMCs’ voices are so similar that I’m completely lost and don’t know whose POV it is.

The recovering catholic in me is so on board for this lfg

Loving it so far. Had to suspend belief for a hot minute when cop took Chloe to the morgue to see the body. Because cops take random civilian witnesses to the morgue to study freshly slaughtered corpses pre-autopsy all the time. To see it in person. Instead of graphic photos in an interview room at a police station……….

The dramaaaa - there’s already been a Renesmee baby and a casual girl on girl slap on campus. Throw in horny vampires and their horny vampire professor.

DNF at 38%. The minute memory loss / memory tampering bullshit started going down AGAIN…. No. I’m out. I respect my time too much.

Restarted this, and I’m finding it just as boring as the first few times I tried listening to this. Similar to Brimstone, I think I’m going to DNF and come back for like the 16th time hoping for the best.

Got 40% in and can’t remember a thing - no clue what’s going on. Starting this one over…

I don’t understand the hype surrounding this universe. I don’t remember anyone’s names, finding it pretty boring and don’t know how I’m going to work through another 22 hrs… might DNF and come back to this one later.

It’s not a love triangle if the other guy is only in the story for 2 chapters. Listen… I love a daddy issue origin story. But I’m still bored.

Finally reunited with Ransom…and I’m bored. I know who Caspia and Andreas are…and I don’t care. I’m bored.

Atrius is the name of my health insurance and it’s really throwing me for a loop here… Also what on earth is this accent the narrator gave him?!

HOW are there still 4 hours left…… I can think of 2 specific moments this book could have ended. Love this group, but let’s get it over and done with.

Gah I still love it idc! Yes there’s a ton of filler, but there’s already been a battle, so much spice, and my least favorite trope has come and gone.

Debating DNF… Mafia’s not my trope, there are a bunch of new random characters, this is such a weird shift. Literally feels like 2 different books.

This book should have ended 2 chapters or so ago. What the hell direction did this just take?! This was a 5 star book, dropped drastically to 3.

If I hear “there she is” one more time I’m going to chuck my phone into the street.
