I first read a Michael Morpurgo story when I was 50+, just like the narrator of this story. Page 10 quotation "You don't forget the stories and the people who change your life." So very true. Really looking forward to this story and the lessons I'm likely to learn.

A single chapter and the scene and atmosphere established with the threat of worse to come already imminent.

This is the fourth time of reading this book and has to be only the second book I've re-read. I know the story but each time I read it I gain more knowledge and understanding and pleasure from the story. The chapter "Coward" completed.

Already looking to find a minute to read some more pages. Instantly into this story.

Just cannot get into this story. Will probably not yet again. I read for pleasure and this is one in not enjoying.

I'm struggling to read this book. I'd make it marginally easier to read than Catch 22. I may not finish it. I've read for other books since I started this one.

Only reached page 21 and can't read any more of this book. Not because of the things that can happen to one or that is not funny. It's because I can't see the words through the tears of laughter!

Not disappointed. Sansom in a totally different environment and time to Shardlake.
