This book is so funny 😆 Though a little too slow paced so far for my taste.

This book is so witty, sarcastic, and beautifully written. Reminds me of Jane Austen's humour. I'm enjoying it so much already, and it has me laughing all the time 😄 I love how it unravels the dilemma between self-sacrifing duty and selfish pleasure.

A really interesting and educational book so far, raising many good questions: are people with sociopathy malicious? Can they feel emotions, love or bond with people and animals? Can they feel loneliness? If fear is lowered, how can you detect danger and ensure your own safety? How do you spend time when you don’t respond to movies, music, and everyday drama in the same way as your peers?

So far, the plot is hilarious, and the book is generally very enjoyable to read. You just have to accept that the characters aren’t realistic, and that Don, the main character, has a Sheldon-like (but more enjoyable) personality. The way the story is told really makes me laugh at how weird social norms can sometimes be, but, at the same time, the book isn’t condescending of the norms. Very light and full of humor.

This book is just so sad. I'm not connecting with the characters and don't understand why they "fall in love" (it's really more of a trauma bond, an obsessive and codependent infatuation). I don't find the female main character likable; she is always negative, self-destructive, has no boundaries and relies on Wyn for emotion regulation again and again. Every joke made in this book falls flat with me. Disappointing..

What a relevant quote still. I'm loving this book!
