Comrade Kvlt is on page 50 of 464 of The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma
Yeah surely the veteran is only traumatized from his buddies getting killed not at all for the raping and massacring he did that the author literally called "justified". Lots of valuable stuff here but the chauvinism/lack of critical thinking shows on occasion typical westoid brain.

So far pretty much what I expected. Im trying to have an open mind and not be a hater but so far this is just an inferior/lazy sort of pseudoscientific version of Crosby's Ecological Imperialism (not that theres nothing good about GGS!). The introduction yaps on way too much on some beleaguered points that arent necessary and the implication that metallurgy/firearms are important as germs is already turning me off

So I haven't read Guns Germs & Steel but so far this book is what I imagine that would be except less chauvanistic lol

This book is so good. easy to read too, and Crosby is pretty funny on top of that. I do like that it really sits at a crossroads between a lot of different academic disciplines too. The summaries of specific time periods and highlights of most important developments are always done effectively and purposely to this thesis. Really, pretty much zero complaints so far. well sourced, engaging, informative.

I mean its pretty much what you expect lots of interviews and pretty well researched just a pretty plain history of the scene *GLOBALLY* which is the coolest part. Reading this would leave people wondering why Scandinavia gets so much credit. Had no clue the Greek scene was so huge (very underrated).

Also the guys in Blasphemy are awesome and seem awesome to chill with

Trying to finish this time.

Now I remember why I couldn't finish this.

Absolute dogshit scholarship. Usually when you're writing a polemic you cite existing works that have established the narrative you're countering instead of this whole cowardly "this is just what people are saying" strawman boogeyman bullshit.

Which sucks cause I do like the topic and agree to an extent but hes just lazy.

Comrade Kvlt is on page 170 of 314 of Reminiscences of the Cuban Revolutionary War: Authorized Edition
There are multiple times during this war where Fidel Castro walks up to Batista soldiers and suspected sympathizers, pretends to be a Batista high ranking officer, bosses them around and gets them to do what he wants. He even chastises them for not catching Fidel yet. 10/10 gigachad maneuver.

This is somewhat difficult to get through. Really good information though. The constant changes within the apostolate is sort of difficult to keep track of, but I get the picture.

Made me realize how little I know about Catholicism or the Church.

Also thank you to that Bishop that pleaded to Batista to not execute Castro. Massive W.
