don’t mind me while I add all the books I started and abandoned two chapters in in search of the perfect book for right now.

THE POEM IS PERFECTION.

I wasn’t expecting this book to be so heavy.

I’ve only listened to like 20 minutes of this but already I’m enjoying this way more than I expected to. I’m not sure why I wouldn’t like this, but I’ve been putting off reading it for forever.

Okay, picking this back up.

This is an incredible book but I’m in the wrong place for it emotionally speaking right now. So I’m going to shelve it for now and pick it up when I’m capable of handling it.

BLESS THE GODS. This book has been returned to me and now I can finish it.

I am STRESSED. OUT.

After that conversation about the social convention of naming chickens, I’m shipping Agnes and the Lady Fox super hard.

This is a little “Phantom Tollbooth”-esque. Or Dr Seuss. Or take your pick of nonsensical children fantasy stories.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m really enjoying it, but some parts of this fantasy world push it a little far for me.

Okay I see where this is going, but I’m still really into this.

The premise is ridiculous (a guy super suddenly accepts a cross country car ride with a someone he can barely stand to breathe the same air as). Which is to say that I am enjoying it so very much.

This is the coldest of opens.

“I really should finish one of those other four books I’ve been reading for close to a week now,” I say to myself as I start a new book.

It’s always sort of bizarre when two very different books you’re reading suddenly become strikingly similar.

I have to read Richard’s book next??? I don’t know that I want to.

This is almost physically painful. I hate big dramatized gestures so very much.

Okay now Charlie is triggering my anxiety. Which is both a bad thing and a compliment to how accurate the anxiety scenes are written.

I was going to put this down at 1am and go to bed but I just got to the shit-flinging filled scenes that could be taken right out of an episode The Real Housewives or something. Saying I’d put this down was a mistake. How on earth am I supposed to do anything but finish this now?

YA is hard to read sometimes when the teenagers are angry in the same way I was angry at that age.

Delightful. A calming cup of tea in book form.

CAN ONE OF THESE BOOKS JUST BE LIGHT AND FUN PLEASE?

Here goes nothing.

This is absolutely bizarre and makes NO SENSE. Why does an angel have a ability to unlock any door? Why did Kit accept immediately it as absolute fact when Grif told her he was an angel (and then storm out of her own house)? Why doesn’t Tony realize that Grif looks a good 50 YEARS younger than Tony knows him to be? I HAVE ALL THESE QUESTIONS.

This is absolutely ridiculous, and I’m not yet sure if it’s the good or bad kind.

I mean. It takes two to tango so. BOTH OF YOU. AUGUST. JANE. You’re better than this.

This book has officially reached a level of bizarreness I didn’t expect from this.

JANE. YOU ARE IN PUBLIC. BEHAVE YOURSELF.

The food in this makes me hungry.
