I have to make myself close this book at night in order to get some sleep. Obama’s writing is incredible accessible and real. It is full of details, yet not too technical or obtuse. The man.with all his acknowledged weaknesses and non-apologetic incredible strengths comes through loud and clear in every sentence. The publishers chose the most creamy, luscious paper, too. A real treat.

I love British mysteries. Sayer is different but as good as Agatha Christie.

So-so at this point. I have been in no hurry to finish it and spend more time reading other books.

Kym is starting Gaudy Night (Lord Peter Wimsey, #12)
A wonderful Sayer’s book.mShe often sends me scrambling figuring out Britishisms, historical and literary allusions. The setting at Oxford was wonderful, I could almost say nostalgic even though I have never been there.

Very intriguing. It gets tedious in places, but I am picking up some information about the era and the happenings around the Manhattan Project that I had been unaware of.
