I just don’t care. Simone is the best, Fiona is a half-empty-glass kind of person (you are having a hard time, but definitely not endearing) and the excuses to make Grant and Wesley shirtless are just ridiculous, and not in a good way.
The art class was weird, almost gave up. But it was original enough to keep going.
Maybe it’s because it’s a bunch of 45-ers acting like 20-something?
Not for me.

It's nice, well written. I love the setting.
It just doesn't keep me invested in the characters.
I still don't know why.

Vorrei misurare quanti dialoghi ha Coert e quanti Cady, quando parlano tra di loro.
Sembra che parli solo Coert, o perché è arrabbiato e insulta Cady o perché è innamorato e la rassicura su cosa faranno. E Cady è tutto un "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have" oppure "ok Coert. I promise"
E se proprio vogliamo andare di stereotipi, ma quale coppia interagisce così?? Quale compagno ti spiega tutti i ragionamenti che ha fatto??

I really don't care what happened to Owen.
At 42%, Owen and Hannah are as warm and endearing as two ice blocks.
It's just that the chapters are usually short and the final sentence tends to be a cliffhanger and it's too soon to go to bed on a Saturday.
But oh! How tempted I am to DNF!

Maybe it's the setting: cold, rainy, deserted, though I really liked the idea of the island.
Conversations feel stiff, mechanical.
I can't picture 2 adults shaking hands on choosing to be friends and asking "are you a vampire?".
Other novels would have engaged me by now.
I give up.

I loooove how when Mike thinks he has things figured out, Dusty shows him another truth, so easy, obvious, plain... why does he assume so much? Why is he so wrapped up in his head, thinking he knows what other think instead of just talking honestly and unassumingly like Dusty does?

He might be gorgeous, but she is still too good for him!

It’s impressive that, for being such a lengthy series, she can cram so many information with unsaid / read-between-the lines content for in 10 rows.
