Lara is ridiculously overpowered even for a Bertrice Small heroine. She could already teleport, shapeshift into a bird, and create finely crafted objects with her magic. That wasn't enough, so now she can turn herself and her husband invisible.

I’m not sure if I’ll finish this. I feel like I’ve hit my quota for biphobia this year.

The fatphobia in this book is painful to read. Also, Nellie’s family should be sent to the salt mines.
