The author gives a little heads up at the beginning of this book that chapters 1-4 are basically a repeat of what happened early in book 1, but this time it’s from Mason’s pov. She says you could just start at chapter 5, but she doesn’t recommend it. I’m on chapter 2, it’s actually pretty good, interesting and imo necessary.

‘What she says.’ Edored threw me a look of hostile agreement. ‘Gods know she needs the bloody training – don’t you, Emelin?’ ‘Desperately,’ I said, scowling at him. ‘Especially when I can train with some fucker who won’t be missed if I happen to make a little more progress than expected.’

Whew, I got through the beginning, and. It. Was. Gross!🤢 Now the plot is thickening and I absolutely love Elara. Vale…right now, not so much…🤬

This is going to be sad, I’ve read the reviews. 😢 I have 2 other books going, but this one is short and I’m getting characters confused with this and Quicksilver, so I plan to just power through this one and go back to Quicksilver after, which is a long book. I will read my Christmas book by John Grisham if this gets too painful…

Loving this. It’s so funny! 😂 I need a book for my book club, I am late November so I want a short-ish Christmas book. Hopefully this will fit the bill! 🤞
