I'm having a hard time following through with this book. I wanted to read an urban fantasy , and I was happy to find this series, but it seems I am not a fan of the author's writing style perhaps...I have tried another book from this series as they are somewhat independent of each other, to see if it would work better, but it went the same way. Not sure if/when I'll finish.

I have a hard time finishing. Eren is stuck mentally in his childhood I think, and Riley is not what I expected him to be in the beginning, not in a good way. The writing it self is pretty easy to goble, the characters are just kind of unrelatable to me even in the middle of the book two.I didn't really read any spoilers for this yet, but i can feel "the noble sacrifice" coming , and I hate that vibe 😄

Having issues , Cody is being moronic, he's an adult for f's sake, like 24 yo right ? He knows his brother views him in a sexual way, he feels it and there's notable progress in the space invasion and general creepiness. And not only he doesn't leave that toxic place, he doesn't even get the freaking lock? Why ? He keeps forgetting and the one time he goes he's stopped ? once they stop you from going outside run!

I hate every single one of them so far, I am sorry Amber, I should like you more seeing as I am also rational person I think, but different from ms Bierce I am also a pragmatic person....and her lacking of that in the social context is frustrating as hell, not to mention her not being a nice person in general. Then there's her backbone-less sister, the snotty commander Everly, those "every man for them selves fleets
