Some serious inconsistencies here…makes me want to stop listening to it - and that is a hard thing for me to do.

This book! It will have you questioning EVERYTHING. I can’t figure out who is the most unreliable narrator - I don’t trust either one. At. All.

Am annoyed again at this friendship duo. They are always so jealous of each other. Everyone is so fake. That’s why I don’t have friends… my family is enough for me 🙄. But I have to finish the series because I’m anal like that. Such a different time then but I still frequently see the similarities in the feelings I share with this main character. Timelessness characterizes disfunction again and again

THIS. RIGHT. HERE. “negative internal voices—whether in the form of an overly harsh inner critic or hurtful auditory hallucinations—may be a consequence of abuse experienced as a child. This distorted memory, instead of just living within the realm of memory, becomes an active enemy that frightens them, increases their paranoia, and potentially leads them to struggle with their perception of reality.”
