One of those books, like A Clockword Orange, which has its own dialect, which means it is difficult to get into; just in terms of understanding this particular dialect. However, once you figure that out, it is a fascinating story about many things (language, storytelling, myth, history etc.)

The kind of book where you intentionally slow down so that it can last longer. Reminds me of the best of Toni Morrison, or of other multi-generational sagas like Pachinko.
