got a new Bible after having my last one for like 20 years. so far i really like it. the pages are a little thin and the type is a little small but maybe i’m just getting older?? hahaa the CSB is a new translation so it’s allowing me to get a fresh take on things. i really like the book introductions. i’ll try to remember to check back in on this.

Is the book really long or am I making very slow progress? The writing is amazing and I’m just imagining planning and building this book. It’s a lot.

This book has more of an academic tone, not what I expected. It’s chock full of info, but I’m making progress.

It’s a slow go. Really good and rich but so heavy. The writing is like little scraps. Some chapters are only one word long. I’m taking it bit by bit, library borrow by library borrow.

Loving this book so far! Sooo interesting! My favorite fact so far is how the woodpecker’s tongue gets stored wrapped around the back of its head 😮

Ok, I’m having a hard time with the switching between characters and time. 🤯

Well, I’m only on Chapter 2 but the sentence about how you don’t choose your partner’s “spinster aunt” ... or “cousin with ... girlfriends that don’t speak English” hit me with the wrong tone. Maybe it’s just bc I’m a spinster aunt myself and have dated people who weren’t fluent in English. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, I’m still working my way through this book. I’m on my 3rd or 4th checkout from the library!
