Guess I still read? Mostly I’ve been reading non-fiction and self-help so I haven’t been focused on updating here as much. I’m looking to find some new reads though. I even renewed my KU so let’s hope I can get my act together this year lol

Ok don’t kill me but I don’t think I’m reading any more Rebecca Yarros… ever again. I just don’t like her style. I bought both onyx storm and iron flame and it feels like a waste of money. I haven’t read either, frankly. I’m just not interested. I will be reading more science and non-fiction for now.

A fairly dense book, but told so beautifully it shocked me that I hadn’t read it cover to cover in almost a decade!

I’m not going to say anything until I’ve finished it, because of spoilers and more than that: this is a trigger heavy book. I’m enjoying it a lot though. My boyfriend is getting a lot of screenshots and 👀 emojis lol

👀 this is quite good! Reminiscent of Miss Marple. It IS set in the Vermont hills and not a small English Village but it only detracts a little from the ~atmosphere~

I actually really like this book. I tried to read the paperback but NAH. The audio has a great narrator. I really like how this reads a bit like dark fic 🙏🙌

Apologies. I’ve been listening to Heir of Fire on repeat 🥺 no reading updates from me because I’ve gotten some bad health news and Rowan saying “to whatever end” just makes me happy. I’ll take any serotonin I can get LOL.

OK I'm giving this book another chance because I'm annoyed that I LOVED the first book so much and this book was... NOT GOOD. I think I might've been pissed when I read it lol. So hopefully it will work out ok? Sidenote: I do NOT like it that Ward has connected this to her other series. I don't particularly care for vamps (twilight trauma lol) and i'm sick of authors tying everything in (coughs, sjm multiverse)

Wow! So! This year has SUCKED for reading. Mostly because I’ve been violently sick all year (fuck only knows what the next 6 months has in store!). I’m going to try to make it up and zoom through some books in June. Fourth Wing is AMAZING. I don’t care what anyone else has to say about it! I love them. (No spoilers!) But I hope my health improves and everything gets better 🥰

The people dissing Kieran Contou and The Primal of Blood and Bone need to take a fucking hike :) went to add the book (in a state of fevered excitement, bc let’s be real, TWOTQ is actually a phenomenal book!!) BUT yeah and then I see all these one star reviews before the book even has a fucking cover!! I’m angy. 😡

...the way i am hanging on every WORD of this trashy book is very hilarious. rowan is my hero.
