This has such a good premise but this writer makes her adult characters sound so juvenile - AND - the WORST audiobook narrator since Assistant to the Villian - ALEX MCKENNA's voice will GRATE on your nerves. The voices for each of the characters are soooo over the top - they sound like whiny children and she has a gruff voice that speeding her voice up doesn't even help. I am painfully getting through it but Lord.

Wow - this is going to be a STRUGGLE for me. I need to read this for my work bookclub and I would never have selected this genre / let alone this book.

Super confusing - long chapters - and just not interesting enough to me.

Our group voted on 6 books for 2026 and this one received the most votes / (I did not select it lol) but since I lead the bookclub - I’m giving it the good ole college try.

I must be in the minority because I’m not really digging it - I think Addie needs to find Alma from the Signature of All things - both not my fav female main characters

Oh boy - this book is not for me - I think that Addie Laroux should’ve looked up Alma from the signature of all things because these two main characters to me are the most boring, senior characters I have ever read in my life.
