I'm going to reread this. And starting it after reading ten books.Since the last one in this series... the quality of this writing is insane compared to everything else.

It actually makes me somewhat bitter that martin has seemingly abandoned this.Amazing series?That means so much to me and many others

It's entertainment it's really dumb entertainment.

Dnf because this is not good imo. It sounds like it's written by a "grocery store person." An npc... some one that has no life experience outside of movies and TV shows. It's totally evident in the characterization and how they interact with the universe and the rules of the universe. Lord have mercy.

This book is to jumpy. I just want it to stay on topic.

I feel a dnf is imminent.

This is a very lighthearted and silly book. It's very well executed, even if the narrator is a little bit ridiculous at times. She really needs to tone it down.Slightly.

This book is good as always from this officer.But I will say that the second half does incur a lot, because the first half for some reason was a little bit slow and disjointed, it's really good.

Good. Standard for this series.

And we are getting a gay mc, cool.

Okay, calm down, kate bush is not that good. And tori amos is leagues better.

There's a depressingly large quantity of words devoted to who broke up with who and going a different parties.And clubs... things that might seem like they're important to preteen girls.. so i'm getting more convinced that this book just isn't for me.I'll give it another chapter.

The premise is fun enough to keep reading and the narrative prosen is straightforward and makes it a non challenging read.So I like that.

There's definitely a aspect which I don't overappreciate, and that is, the book appears to be written for younger women, definitely not like a preteen or anything like that.But certainly not my particular demographic

Still some really cheesy characterizations. But I gotta hand it to him.He is crafting a intriguing story that makes me want to turn the page.

So far it's a really fun murder.Mystery can't figure out the ending, but it's fun taking the journe.
On the negative side, there's some super corny unrealistic characterizations going on. And some overly cheesy plot point sets right out of a made for t v movie...

Yep. Noping out of this book.
It's way too much all at once.Just a brutal assault of things happening.And it doesn't seem to want to stick 21 thing like a conversation with a person on Adderall.

Further, all of the characters are the exact same voice which I assume is the author's voice. It's all a slightly sarcastic, very smarmy voice. You know the type that you can't stand being around for more than 10 minutes.

I will say that adrian succeeds in an area where so many authors fail. Is the fiction and characterization of the aliens are not antopored, but actually really accurate coming from an entity which doesn't have any human perspectives or any point of balance, it did an amazing job with that.

I can't deny Adrian can write. He's talented. This book is good but I wish it weren't so long.

I cant imagine what points I would cur from this book either though. The journey is a good one. Its possible I am just not enjoying time with these 2 characters. Idk.

Jeez Adrian is a talented author isnt he?

There are sentences where I can tell that he's speaking minimum in universe character.But he's speaking directly to the reader as and the author it's really kind of a neat thing, very clever.

The author has a d h d and you can't convince me otherwise.

The way he whiplashes from topic to topic and it's all done in exposition style.

To say it's amateur is a huge understatement. The pacing is laughably bad where in the space of two sentences, there'll be a dozen trips to the past in a time machine.But then he'll spend a few paragraphs describing another trip.Just to go see a movie.But it's not even clear

Ehhh. Is this a self published book? It's written like it has very little direction from an experienced author or publisher...

Hope i'm giving it a shot.But there's definitely some issues with the characters and all this mandering thoughts... it's written like a stream of conscious story.

Okay it gets better. The scene writing could definitely use a lot of tightening up, but if you have a lot of concentration, you can get to it.

Also, there is a nice little twist here.At the ending, knit is pretty good.

I don't know, ma'am.The author can clearly write a plot, but he cannot write a scene... and this is important because things don't move along very interestingly.

Very interesting so far.I really love time travel books.So this one is up my alley. But there's a major drawback at first.I thought I just couldn't concentrate.So I thought it was on me, but I think i've pinpointed it down to author skill. He's got this sort of transient narrative approach which assumes the reader knows everything the author does about history.And ancient rome. It doesn't help the storytelling aspect

So I guess the main character is supposedly a hero but I gotta tell you.I don't agree with him.I am one hundred percent on the side of his sister.That's trying to upgrade humanity.Because really, what is worth saving at this point?Look around.

Something i'm really enjoying about this author's writing.I can really appreciate that.He knows how to let a scene breathe.He gives time for the characters to figure things out.And he brings the reader along that journey in an interesting way.

Very interesting and getting pretty exciting too.

It just feels so stupid that everything is culminating at this big fancy ball like that is such a adolescent nineteen fifties idea.It's outdated and old fashioned and also the fact that every single character has something special and unique.And beautiful and magical about themselves.That's just a very adolescent way of thinking.I don't think this book is written for me.And so i'm not appreciating it.

I'm not sold on this. It feels almost young adult like book which is fine.But there's definitely also something lacking on top of that.Aspect.

Intriguing so far but something very annoying... so far it's just been the main character going to different other side characters.I guess and they're all some sort of quirky weird magical beings. There's almost no plot between all of these introductions, and they're not even quite introductions.Because there's zero transition from one side character to another. I hope that some plot starts to get developed

Book is good. But definitely minus one whole star. I signed up to this book wanting a fiction story. It is a book of big ideas plaved together and loosely connected by a very thin plot line threading it's way through the chapters.

Also it is all info dumps. The dialog is so lacking, leaning into the textbook feel.

Robinson is spending far far too many chapters on ideas.And info dumps. I want a story.I came to find a fiction book

I hate fast forwarding through books but it might be necessary on this one.

I don't know if i'm enjoying this book. On one hand robinson is exhibiting some really masterful writing.And incorporating even some sense of poetry in how he puts it all together.

But there's hardly a through line in this book that lasts for more than a few chapters.So it feels like vignettes, and all of the vignettes are real world tragedies that are happening around us.So I thought I was getting into a fiction bo
