One of the most unique stories I've read.

The car accident scene is a genuinely disturbing unsettling one.

It's getting spooky. But I smell a big ol red herring! We will see...

Okay, so now I understand why those crazy chapter preludes with the weird poetry and philosophy are doing. It's actually a frame story kinda very cool.

A comedy horror with a cast? Very nice so far

It's written very well, and it's good. But the one thing that's not thrilling. Me is that it's just a plain old coming of age story. There's really no magical or surrealistic elements, or anything that I typically look 42 keep my imagination.

Mcammon's writing is so similar to Stephen King! That's a good thing.

The epilogue is such a mind fuck

When Thaw has his crash oit tantrums, it's so funny. Hes an amazingly written character

The story shifted to a student. Not sure if it's the same character as the 1st story yet. It's very good though

There is some real satire here. It's of the scathing variety of which I either need to reread, or maybe i'm just not smart enough to pick up everything on the first go. Round... but it is a very enjoyable, very weird story. So far

I don't like the narrators pronunciation sometimes. Clique = cleeek. And foyer = foy-yay. Blech.

It took a turn into a really good scifi story.

Very impressed that this was written fifty years ago, in some of these concepts are still being discussed.

But also, there is a distinct lact of story. Here they got sacrificed for technical accuracy. Which I love, but also I love the stories..

Awful.

Modern politics shoe horned into a scifi book. Some characters are referred to as "they" even though it's one singular person. And the worst offense in this scifi universe is to support police and racism.

This narrator doesn't have the reading abilities. Beyond ninth grade.

Any unusual word with three or more syllables, is mispronounced.

There's a weird quality to this style of writing that is rubbing me wrong. It's like romantasy characterization... where they all are written so corny and unreal.

Yah, standard but funny pixel punk book with great characters.

This is so similar to Dungeon Crawler Carl. Not a bad thing but the humor and genre and narrator and characters are reminiscent of dcc.

Oh and a super talented narrator

Humor, good characterization, tons of good dialog.... ya I dig it.

So far seems like it might border on YA scifi. If this does turn out to be more ya than scifi, then I'm dnf'ing.

But I'll give it a good chance first.

Overall, really well done. Sure, there was some plot points that felt really flat. You know, the motivations weren't totally great, needed some more exploration of the exciting points.

A really nice story, well written, great prose. And gay romance without the smut.

Definitely keeping this author high on my tbr list.

The story seems a bit simplistic and the major turning point for the motivation of the lead character was sort of a anticlimactic event.

Glynn's prose is impressing me.

Bigger than a grain, okay.Yeah I do remember it now. There wasn't a whole lot of exciting plot points that really stick out in your memory, but the story is still pretty good. Sensation, it truly enjoy the fact that this is sort of a romance and does not deviate into smut.Territory at all.

"College boy" and "offended liberal" just made this book a dumb political manifesto by the author.

It's not enough just to tell an entertaining story, he wants to lecture his audience too.

Sad because it was an alright story without the weirdness of the author's voice added with the subtlety of a hammer from the pages.
