Okay FINALLY we have gotten to the point where a conflict and plot is forming.

Barely, anything has happened, but her writing is still pretty captivating.

Weird little book and weird story. It's not about much yet.

I am shocked to see that I'm at 95%. Because there wasn't any sort of conclusion or climax or high point to the plot. This just feels like a continuation of what's been happening.

Good writing. The characters are written kinda well. Certainly a bit too fast to catch up sometimes.
Narrator isnt helping. Hes good but has no variation in tone making it difficult tonknow who's speaking.

Very dense with scifi concepts. Sometimes hard to keep up but the author does a good job of repeating the important bits

It's just plain. Plot has zero surprises. Everyone is so perfect. Everything is without the real-life strife.

God why am I reading this? Oh yeah I'm very stressed out and need something absolutely brainless and numb to take my mind out of my mind right now.

It fits the bill and its okay.

The pacing is good. It's going along at a good clip. And it's still straddling the line between cliche military scifi and otherwise good scifi.

Hopefully, in the 2nd half of the book, we'll see a pick up of the cool parts of 1st contact.

It's a first contact story.So there's a lot of really interesting things going on. Unfortunately, it seems to be a very standard, almost military sci.Fi, so we'll see how it develops.

Hopefully it will be on the nee-concept side of the scifi spectrum rather than the military shoot em up scifi.

Continue to be surprised at all the wisdom im this novel. This book has been for me like an anti-platitude. Like just the opposite of meaningless little common sayings when people dont know what to say.

How did the author wrote this character so deliberately? I imagine it took a very long time

The Mc is written so incredibly carefully and with great attention to detail. How awesome

The monolog about seasons of life is so poignant and so stripped of falseness. It speaks to the occasional harshness of reality and how fleeting happiness can be.

I think this book is going to be beneficial for my mind.

I'm taking that this book will have no science fiction. Every pair graft lingers on this guy's dreamy eyes and how the shirt hugs his biceps, etc. And how she keeps blushing.

Blech. No thanks.

The worst narrators.

Mispronounced

2. Disoriented
3. Naivete

Yikes. The over use mispronounciatin of "gif" is unbearable.

It kind of speaks to the skill of the author that I keep internally rooting for this main character. And the main character is devious and... well just not a good person.

Buddy author is doing a great job of making her journey seem relatable.

Like I said, very predictable, but it's still enjoyable. I do appreciate that it's highlighting the brain-poison that twitter is.

Wow, wow this book is so short a did not even realize till.Just now.I'm over halfway done.

The author is doing a wonderful job at building a creeping sense of suspicion.

The suspenses got me turning the pages. I am very enjoyable so far even though nothing has really even happened.

This book is incredible. It js so bittersweet that I'm nearly done and have the knowledge that this story will likely never be finished. I want to get to the end of this book but also never want it to end.

Rereading this book.

And right away its just so clear how good martin is at writing. His prose puts all the other books ive read recently to shame.

It's such a massive injustice that martin deprives his audience if his storytelling. Hes just so bloody good at it.

The author has a serious case of twitter brain.And it has seeped into the pages of the book. In my opinion that it degrades the quality of the book drastically.

Ugh. Author is moralizing about enslaved people again.

I can feel my future review dropping stars rapidly.

A bit disappointing. The plot stays in a level of silliness. The book feels rushed since the characters aren't consistent & they are parodies. There is a real sense of pre-teen goofiness for lack of better wording.

The character called the librarian is inconsistent. Each chapter ike a different character

The author made me cringe, implying she thinks that America was the only country who owned slaves in history.

I know i've read a few books in a row where the pros is exceptional. Because I can tell this book is written a little more frivolously, or a little more quickly. It's not necessarily a bad thing.It's just simpler.

Oh cool. I always thought that if I wrote a book, it would be with this premise.

Books as portals. Love the idea so i'm excited to see where this goes.

This book is written so well. I must check out more from this author.

I predict this book is going to be blowing up soon.
