Finding myself not caring

It's not a bad book by any means, but i'm finding that I do not look forward to reading this one.Whatsoever.

I think it's very interesting that this book is easily. Identifiable, by something that it was written in the nineties... which to me, doesn't it feel like there's been that much vernacular drift or huge changes in the writing since the nineties. Sure, there has been since the 70s. At least, but there's definitely something here that identifies this. As a somewhat dated buck

Very good book, even if some of the writing is a little dated.

This best main character I swear she was written initially as a male character.And then maybe like gender swapped in a final draft.

There's just so many male characteristics for a supposed straight female character. It keeps messing with my head, which is fine.Just a funny note.

Why are there so many pages devoted to airing out daddy issues? The story was fine without all this stuff

Oh, I get it.Can't believe it took me this long to get the metaphor it is fairly heavy handed. But I think it's still a nice message

This would make a good movie.

The author's forward was overly sarcastic and super cringe worthy. It makes me doubt that this book will be good.

Biggest reading surprise in a long time. Chuck tingle is not some parody of comedy. I actually really enjoy his outlook, and it seems that we think along similar lines in many things... at least from what I can see in this book. Really good!

This is my first tingle book, and I have always avoided them due to the comedic.Titles

Those titles always make me think.His books are caricatures and parodies.And just over the top.

but what i'm finding is that it's actually kinda well written and interesting.

The movie is so faithful to this book. I gained no new information from reading the book. Thats fine, both the book and movie are good

Okay, so I love a good portal fantasy.It's one of my favorites... but I really really dislike cozy fantasy.

And this author is known for a lot of coziness, so i'm not sure what to expect.

But the beginning is pretty good.

It's written very well, so no knock against the author, other than the fact that he is clearly a news or Twitter addict.

Seems cute and overly satirical obv.

Narrator said one of my pet peeves alright. Hopefully she doesn't keep fucking it up.

OrientATed is not a word. Do not pronounce oriented that way.

Great story, great story writing. No big huge events but still a fascinating piece

Okay FINALLY we have gotten to the point where a conflict and plot is forming.

Barely, anything has happened, but her writing is still pretty captivating.

Weird little book and weird story. It's not about much yet.

I am shocked to see that I'm at 95%. Because there wasn't any sort of conclusion or climax or high point to the plot. This just feels like a continuation of what's been happening.

Good writing. The characters are written kinda well. Certainly a bit too fast to catch up sometimes.
Narrator isnt helping. Hes good but has no variation in tone making it difficult tonknow who's speaking.

Very dense with scifi concepts. Sometimes hard to keep up but the author does a good job of repeating the important bits

It's just plain. Plot has zero surprises. Everyone is so perfect. Everything is without the real-life strife.

God why am I reading this? Oh yeah I'm very stressed out and need something absolutely brainless and numb to take my mind out of my mind right now.

It fits the bill and its okay.

The pacing is good. It's going along at a good clip. And it's still straddling the line between cliche military scifi and otherwise good scifi.

Hopefully, in the 2nd half of the book, we'll see a pick up of the cool parts of 1st contact.

It's a first contact story.So there's a lot of really interesting things going on. Unfortunately, it seems to be a very standard, almost military sci.Fi, so we'll see how it develops.

Hopefully it will be on the nee-concept side of the scifi spectrum rather than the military shoot em up scifi.

Continue to be surprised at all the wisdom im this novel. This book has been for me like an anti-platitude. Like just the opposite of meaningless little common sayings when people dont know what to say.

How did the author wrote this character so deliberately? I imagine it took a very long time

The Mc is written so incredibly carefully and with great attention to detail. How awesome

The monolog about seasons of life is so poignant and so stripped of falseness. It speaks to the occasional harshness of reality and how fleeting happiness can be.

I think this book is going to be beneficial for my mind.
