If you don’t cry at least once is it even a John Green book? Hearing the last recorded song of a species is sad, hearing about how when they played the song back to see what the people recorded the bird quickly returned in desperation to see another of his kind, to sing with them, only for it to be his own song because he was the last remaining, is heartbreaking.
