Omg this book is stressing me out so much! 😱

I forgot how terrifying but incredibly interesting this world is so I'm glad I have time to reread this and Hell Bent before Dead Beat comes out soon. My hopes for book 3 are so high - I never thought Leigh Bardugo would write another Alex Stern book!

All the knights, male and female, are pigs. I'm so disgusted by every single one of them.

I swear, if Rory, Maude, Bartholomew, or Sybil don't kill this little shit stain, I will personally find a way to climb into this book world and do it myself!

I'm so worried about this ending...

Oh God, this book. The characters finally got together, but only after something big was revealed, but there's still over 50% of the book left. Is this going to make me cry when I finish it tomorrow???

Had to pause this audio book because of the current UK heatwave, by which I mean my computer is located upstairs in a 33°C sauna and I don't want to melt whilst listening to the story. Things were just getting good though... -_-

This book is slow, or I'm reading it slow, or the space time continuum is doing something spooky because I feel like I'm dragging myself through this book D:

I'm still in the prologue which is set ten years ago and the FMC is talking about loving romantasy books... Omg, romantasy as a term being used in publishing, let alone colloquially, wasn't in use till 2020. Did something this simple need research???

It feels very similar to The Seven Year Slip so far...

He's talking in riddles. She keeps ranting at him and making stupid decisions. Nothing is happening...

I'm enjoying the story so far, but FMC is already questioning if she loves MMC after only 131 pages... Oh dear.

Wait, wait, wait... Is Elang somehow also Gaari? They both have one human eye visible, love noodles and tea, want Tru's help with painting, and there was something off about him from the start. He was described as looking old but also not at the same time... Hmm.

It's nearly 2am... Oops?

Finally, an audio book transcribed into book form! I can add the trophy to my shelf now XD

The FMC has just decided to sing 'I can buy myself flowers' at karaoke to prove she can move on from her awful ex... *facepalm*

Chapter 32... oof. Trigger warnings!

I understand wanting a voice actress with an English accent to narrate this story as it is set in the UK and focuses on Arthurian legend. But, as an English person listening to it, I find it incredibly annoying when an American actress is chosen over a British one and now I have to listen to 'water' and 'Glastonbury' being pronounced wrong every time...

132 pages in and I've learned a new word: 'tarn'. It's been used at least 15 times in 11 chapters as if 'lake' wasn't good enough!
