i really don't enjoy how contemporary romances these days are so heavy on the telling instead of showing aspect, in that they give you the entire backstory to explain a character, their situation, all in one spattering, and then jumps into the plot. i don't know. there's a gracelessness to it that i don't enjoy.

they've been dating barely a month what the fuck you mean they're saying i love you what? i get maybe they think it's dfiferent bc they've never felt like this for anyone else before but oh my god i hate instalove! and even before they started dating they hadnt known each other long!!! once again also another author allergic to writing paragraphs. at least it's easy to skim.
