Well, as painful as over half this book was the end made me change my rating and view on this one 😭 very good ending, it really brought everything together! I really disliked Chaols character but so glad he got a redemption story here. And this quote truly sums this book up: “Every step. Every curve into darkness. Every moment of despair and rage and pain. It had led him to precisely where he needed to be.”

Still reading. Just in a silent slump.

Finally in Part 2 — 🥱😭

Have made progress but this is my least favorite of the series so far.

Completed last night (5/30)—thankfully this guy officially got life without parole about a year ago.

Ok so far, I really like how this is a true crime reading as if it is fiction.

I'm going to need something light after this one.

This is a slow progress read for me. I am not as interested in Chaol as I am with Aelin and others so we will see if I stay bored with this one.

I didn't really do any updates on this as I just didn't take the time to. I finished on Sunday 5/24 and this one was good!

Strep throat and life have knocked me out for a while. I think I’m back up but prepared to get knocked out again 🫣 I’ve had not even energy to listen to audiobooks let alone read *sigh* anyways, I think I’m feeling up for it again.

I’ve eyed this book for a while and I am going to listen to the audiobook for it because there are unlimited copies through my library system 😎 Exciting—I thoroughly enjoy Jeneva Rose books!

This has my heart beating and my mind racing. Also, Little Tuna, IYKYK 😆😂

I really hope there is a major twist that I wasn’t expecting at the very end of this because… I would be disappointed if there wasn’t 🥴

I find it so… eerie, if you will, that Roman Dial makes a debut in this book, when years later (in 2014) his son died in a similar way. It’s very interesting being able to make that connection since reading The Adventurer's Son.

Who could it be 👀 I think I know. We will see.

Started listening to this audiobook. I read the book when I was younger and was addicted to the movie adaptation. Rereading as an adult now to bring forth new thoughts. Such a WILD story (no pun intended).

A very repetitive read 🥱

Ok. Death of a small child is HARD for me to read about.

Only TWO more books in this series and this one had me in a chokehold 😭 this series is better than The Court of Thorns and Roses series; who else is with me?! We will see if I change my mind once I finish this one!

I can’t say enough good things about this series you guys. It’s long but so worth it.

Cults are basically just places where abuse is allowed and where people are brainwashed to accept it. Just cannot wrap my head around this lifestyle that people willingly choose and the poor babies that are forced into it 🙃
