Ugh, heartbreakingly good read 😭 be warned: topic of SA within the walls of this book.

This has been on hold since JUNE and I finally get to borrow it! It must be a good one!

Wow… just wow. Finished Nov 19 – review to come ♡

Started this yesterday. This story of survival is awful and incredible and inspirational all at the same time. Hearing about these victims stories from each of their perspectives gives me chills.

Finished this today, Nov 16! It was entertaining enough!

I'm excited for this one — I've eyed this on retailer shelves for a long while now and it's always piqued my interest — so, here we go!

Done and definitely choked up.

When Aelin reunites with you know who (no spoilers, iykyk), this song pops up in my head:

I’m definitely seeing why this got a Pulitzer Prize!

I’m not sure what caused me to put this book on my want to read shelf… maybe because of the Pulitzer prize it got? Something at some point picked my interest with it. Reading the description it reminds me of any other post apocalyptic story I’ve watched about. We will see what happens with this one 🤔

I have lost respect for Chaol after this chapter 😭

You guys, there is actual live audio of the dispatch recording. Definitely listening in audiobook format is a must with this one.

Why does this remind me of the book A Little Life
Novel by Hanya Yanagihara? It’s like it’s the 1915 WWI version of it.

Literal GOOSE. BUMPS. The alternating points of view are fantastically done. I think I will end up finishing this today. I finished this one FAST.

Warning: there is a lot of legalese in this book, which makes it superfluous in book format in my opinion. But this all makes sense at to why it is being that it was written by a judge and he is just incorporating facts from the court case/hearing.

I am feeling very excited to start this one!

A very accurate depiction of Ed Gein's life since this judge had all the details through investigations and interviews with Ed. It's interesting to me how different the investigative scene was back in 1957 than today. If a crime like this were to happen today, well, I think that it may have been handled very differently all around.

Ended up finishing this today (10/6)—faster than I expected 😆 a bit mediocre. Nothing that will stick with me forever by any means.

Started this one on September 23 and should finish this week! This is one of those books that makes you think hard on WHO might it be the whole way through. Hoping that it's a major unexpected twist!
