فصل يعطيك فيه الكاتب مونولوج مطول عن الأهداف الخفية في الحرب ومن يتحكم بها وكيف إن ساحة الحرب تُعد مساحة شاسعة مُلهية مثالية للتجارب على البشر والتقدمات التكنولوجية والفصل الي بعده تشوف بطل الرواية يقاتل أخطبوط في شواطئ موناكو.
