Emily Wilson’s translation is still my favorite.

The sex and eroticism in the book is… meh? Detracting from the actual stories (maybe there are stronger thematic ties in books #2/#3). The dialogue/description is laced on the hems with misogyny. It makes my skin itch.

I did enjoy the chapter about kicking men in the balls though.
