Michael is finished with The U.S. Army/Marine Corps Counterinsurgency Field Manual
Galula's book is the Old Testament, whereas FM 3-24 is the New Testament. What's next? The next should try to incorporate the promotion of women in political positions for nation building.

I like Sen's work so far but this will be another slow read for me given the density of the information. I like the charts in Chapter 2 which really highlight the "means and ends of poverty"

So far this book has a large amoung of information to digest and makes for a slow read. Although, I find this useful given I have little background in North Africa. I can't wait to get into the insurgency(Algerians) and counterinsurgency(French)

The crisis scenario in Chapter 4 is exactly what policy makers should be doing.
