My only real critique that I have is why did she have to end up with an old man? I suppose I get it. She's been without sex for a while and he is a safe person, but that age gap is uncomfortable. It's still a good book, but oh that age gap-

To see Lauren begin to talk about Earth Seed to others is interesting. She is finally allowed to express her thoughts to others with little to no judgement.

The writing so far is really good. I like how it doesn't just go "this is dystopia", but instead has some sense of normal with subtle hints that things are off. Gradually, it becomes clear that something has gone wrong but it's not completely spelled out and I like it.

I love how the book normalizes neo pronouns so much. Also the moth landing on the candle feels so foreboding and I love it.

I like how the beginning is building up the setting of the book. It really sets that eerie feeling.

Forgot to add, but it's lowkey funny that a character died of blue balls.

Other than a few characters, I like that we slowly begin to see some of the walkers fade out a bit. You get to the point of "Who was that again?" Which is probably similar to what was happening with Garraty who slowly stopped caring about who got their ticket.

So far, I have come to the conclusion that Ray is a horndog. In all seriousness, it's interesting seeing him go from being super prideful about all the people cheering him on to being embarrassed by it.

Dude why did they feel the need to talk about the mom's boobs? It felt super unnecessary.

Things are getting spicy and I low-key love it.

I love how the reader can actually sympathize with the anarchist. I love how the author creates grey in a book that would seem to be only black and white with the renegades in white and the anarchist in black.

I feel like the anarchist ater like a tiny family.

I like the character dynamic of Adrian. The author makes him feel real.

Reading the story involving a guy names Bill right now. I hope he ends up getting what he deserves.

These few chapters have so much mention of poison. It seems that murders tended to lean more towards the poison option throughout the years.

I feel like the story of the sorceress of kilkenny is out of place her due to the amount of things that cant be confirmed about it.

Each story is so whimsical and enchanting to read. My favorite so far is the lady of gollerus due to the beautiful description of the girl.

The story of Anna is so disturbing yet also so intriguing. She seemingly has no guilt for her crimes and doesnt care that she left her victims practically drowning in feces.
