I was pretty sure I was not a cowboy romance person.

I am, as suspected, not a cowboy romance person.

Not rating this because there's nothing wrong with the book, I am simply not the right audience.

DNF @ page 191. I really wanted to like this but just… didn’t.

DNF at chapter 4. So much surface level info with no analysis whatsoever. Also didn’t realize there would be an extensive HP review, and I just don’t want to read that.

DNF on chapter 2

DNF @ 50%. The characters never made any sense and kept doing things for no logical reason… not terrible, just more annoying than not

Slow going, nothing much is happening…

It is taking FOREVER for me to get through this. I blame the dozen or so POVs and the need to jump between them every page or 2… just tell a story for a whole chapter, PLEASE…

How am I only halfway through? I feel like I’ve read 2 entire books already… it’s a good story but I’m kind of over it…

My first read-along! The author is doing a YouTube read-along for the first trilogy in anticipation of the September release of the 4th book. I’d forgotten how much I loved these characters…

DNF - it’s not a bad book I just can’t seem to care about the characters.

Well, I always knew I’d have to reread some of the series before launching myself into Nona. Turns out “some” of the series was half of Harrow. I am, as always, confused but delighted by this series.

I am not okay. I’ve read the whole book (only the novella left to go) and oh, it is utterly cruel to end on a cliffhanger when we need to wait a full year for the next book!!

I’m trying, I really am. I first read this series way back when I worked at the bookstore and remember thinking it was okay… and now it is taking up valuable space on my bookshelves, so I figured I’d give book 1 a reread and see if I need to be keeping these. So far, very much not impressed… this might go on the DNF pile and to the donation box…

I'll admit, I'm having trouble with this one. I admittedly didn't know a whole lot about the plot before starting it but I was expecting... something else? I debated giving up on it, but the reviews are so positive and I have friends who very much enjoyed it, so slogging along in the hopes that the characters stop making stupid decisions and generally being terrible people.

Okay, this is my first time rereading book 3 since the end of the series (usually I start at book 4 when obsessively rereading) and wow, the layers woven into this are utterly heart wrenching. Knowing everything I know now, what I saw as a rather tedious training montage between Aelin and Rowan now has me almost in tears… as usual, my favorite thing is when an author utterly destroys me… 😭😭

My library hold finally arrived! After all the hype, I have to admit I am LOVING this story. Finished half of it in one sitting and I'm having to restrain myself from finishing it tonight (because let's be honest, some of us need to actually sleep before going to work tomorrow!)

This showed up today (a full week early!) so how could I not jump right in?? Juggling too many books right now, but most of the way through all 3 other ones so it’s okay, right? :p

Time to reread this before the next one comes out… I’d forgotten how annoying I find Bryce…

Ok, this is a much better book the second time around, now that I can look at it from Rhys’ perspective… the entire Feyre-Tamlin relationship still makes me cringe though.

I’ve been fighting it but it’s re-reading time…
