This was such an unusual take on an old woman, her so-called friends that she doesn’t recognize are friends at the time, coming of age, aging, neighbors, family, and unfortunate circumstances. Really hit all the bases, and very well. I loved this book.

Knowing it was a short book, I just wanted to get through it. I think I finished it in three sittings. The final sitting is where I savored this book, the life of all, and the gems she shares in her letter and in her life. A special book that makes me realize that stuff is stuff, but some stuff has a lifetime of memories with it. And sometimes it’s nice to remember.
