Very interesting so far, especially his discussion of the etymology of 'sophos.' You can definitely hear foreshadowing of his later philosophy as his very different and stark attitudes towards the Eleatics on one hand and Heraclitus and Anaximander (whom I had never appreciated until now) on the other display certain fundamental dispositions Nietzsche develops and expresses much more later on

I am only a bit in to this, and I am already a fan of it. It is without a doubt one of the most difficult pieces of fiction I've ever read (I can only imagine all the word play and references of all sorts that I'm missing), but I'm already starting to see the reason behind its acclaim.
