Just read The chapter called the problem with faith, it’s about the Black Death and how it shaped society and art
My favorite chapter so far —
I realize he came to Siena to basically take a silent retreat with art but I was really annoyed that he didn’t want to go to his friends birthday party an hour away just to not break his retreat?
