I didn’t love the beginning. The writing was a bit annoying. The second part I was a bit more absorbed by but i still wasn’t really super taken

Just read The chapter called the problem with faith, it’s about the Black Death and how it shaped society and art
My favorite chapter so far —
I realize he came to Siena to basically take a silent retreat with art but I was really annoyed that he didn’t want to go to his friends birthday party an hour away just to not break his retreat?
