Book has entered the mid 1970s, covering the release of Brautigan's genre work to less and less critical praise. Brautigan's drinking binges have increased, leading to a darker shadow over his day to day life. Still the scenes in Montana, and Japan on the horizon, hold a beautiful scene full of many great friendships.

Finished Living, on to Party Going

Ordered this from Powells thinking it was the 1997 reissue and it turned up being a first edition paperback. There are no page numbers in this book so I'm doing a percentage based on the fraction of sections I've read from the table of contents. Not an accurate percentage of pages read. I'm probably only a fifth of the way through the book. Gotta have read at least 100 pages so far. Crazy stuff and a lot of fun.
