"I'm a birthright Friend, and in sixty-plus years of living, way has never opened in front of me. But a lot of way has closed behind me, and that's had the same guiding effect.” Same…in 60 plus years, I’ve had many closures but never found what my “calling” is. A lovely compilation of short stories. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on: The Imperfect-Family Beatitudes.
“Blessed are the parents whose final words on leaving—the house, the car, the least consequential phone call—are always ‘I love you.’ They will leave behind children who are lost and still found, broken and, somehow, still whole.”
