It has all the elements of a gothic novel;
*creepy manor house set in rural England - check
*moody & mean male character that has questionable relations with sister - check
*suspected ghost that may or may not just be the narrators own mental illness - check
*deeply disturbed characters - check
However, the author does not have the talent for language that the gothic novelists possessed - it's flat & lifeless.

Why am i reading this....is like the other book. Damn my obsessiveness

Kinda odd diversion from the last book I read, cant complain though it aint The Stand, which I am still cracking away at.

I don't know how much more I can take....It's like being one the stepper at the gym, its so painful and it feels like you've been on it for 10mins at least, then you look down and its only been 2mins......this is killing me!

JESUS H CHRIST.....why did King think this book needed an additional 400 pages??!!
