omg i haven't updated this in forever.. ive just been reading a few pages ever so often but im close to the climax of the book (which is near the end but whatever) and i hope i can just finish the rest tommorrow

this book is gonna be so hard to rate when im done. strange, strange story with a strange protagonist and strange plot.
shoutout to a protrayal of OCD that isn't advertised as "ocd book!!" or exploring very common obsessions/compulsions in media like cleaning. sometimes ocd makes u a weird freak and i love how much a freak the protag is. like yesss i love you cringe 40 year old white woman keep ruining ur life !!

maybe starting a new book will help me with finishing the others.. •_•

why the page count on goodreads always different.. my copy has like 140 pages.

current audiobook. meanders a bit but most of it is relevant. pretty intresting deconstruction of "true crime" so far but nothing mind blowing

rereading and theres just certain passages that cut like a knige man... also obsessed with how passive of a narrator he is in his Own memoir

but this book is so worth it as an audiobook its so funny

currently reading this instead and it's a lot more interesting.. minus the no quotation mark thing seriously why do authors do that

i don't really like the tense for some reason.. it being fully in the past with no indication of when the present is/why it's being told like it is strange. i might just chalk it up to translation issues, but it's hard to ignore. pendantic, but annoying.
i also dislike how exposition + dialogue heavy the prose as well. the reader isn't really left with anything to sit with, just pages of monologs. idk

cute, but very aimless at this point. its just a recount of a guys childhood (atp) in typical memoir fashion, with some substance but not much direction. however, it's entertaining, works well in audiobook format, and again, i think the word "cute" is the best descriptor for it atp

the main character is such a terrible person my jaw dropped at multiple points while listening.. waiting to see how this story ends/if she ever becomes More likeable.
also the sleeping all day part is so real but the way psychiatry is portrayed is not. hope ppl don't genuinely relate/idolize the mc and this book as a whole

picked it back up bc of my unyielding love for the movie and like. Wow its different. not bad different just. different
