Irene is 2% done with James Joyce: The Complete Collection
I’ve had to set it aside because I was reading several other books, some of which I have not yet added to my Goodreads page. Will get back to it another time.

Irene is reading I, Rhoda
As much as I loved Valerie Harper (and “Rhoda”), I found found myself skipping ahead in hopes to find better written sections. All in all, though it was amusing but I wish Valerie’s editors would have advised a rewrite (or two). Still love Valerie, may she rest in peace. Will always remember her fondly. The book, not so much.

Irene is reading Late Migrations: A Natural History of Love and Loss
Absolutely love this book and will want to re-read it often. The author and I share a kinship with nature and have similar views on solitude, reflection, and life’s many lessons.

Irene is on page 61 of 304 of Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life
Feeling compelled to try practicing the art of meditation and mindfulness. I believe I could truly benefit (as could those who live and work with me) from living in the moment and not stressing about what might or might not be, or what might have happened before. It would be great to combine this with a little yoga every day, or as often as possible. My goal for this year is to decompress and NOT STRESS!

Irene is reading Paul and Jesus: How the Apostle Transformed Christianity
"Paul writes in the early 50s A.D., just twenty years after Jesus' crucifixion. That is not to say the gospels are without historical value. The problem is that they report a garbled mix of contradictory stories that have to be critically analyzed and sorted chronologically."
