I know I'm not very far in yet, but this book is fun. Like, "Project Hail Mary" and a bit of "Murderbot" or "Redshirts", fun. I've already laughed at several points 😁

Has a few moments of being interesting, but there's way, way, WAY too much foul language. It ruins a lot.

I can't help but feel this is a plot hole in chapter 5. He keeps saying how unlikely or improbable it is for someone to go up stairs and then turn ones back to them. But when you reach the top, of course your back would be to them because they are now behind you. I want to smack this supposed "smart" detective.

There's a maze that makes the one in Goblet of Fire seem laid back.

I can't help it, I want to throw this whenever they say "kitty-pet".
