Mark is at once a highly cine-literate critic with honest, medium-loving, though sometimes bewildering, opinions and a very funny writer. His books are slowly becoming a refuge for my movie addled brain that doesn't know which 'reviewer' or 'critic' to turn to in a world where film criticism is either considered easy or plain hogwash. Neither is true. And I'm glad there's someone who gives a shit.

Idk why I do this to myself. I look at the title, the cover, the many great people who have endorsed the book, and then I start reading. Stupid, stupid, stupid! Always listen to your own heart when picking books. Anyway, it looks like a short read.
