Gefühlt ist das englische Original vermutlich deutlich besser. Von britischen Humor fühlt man in der deutschen Version einfach nichts. Es hat auch so viele langweilige, langatmige Stellen, ähnlich wie bei einem Krimi. Die langatmige Banalität über Gummistiefel erzeugt Spannung bis tatsächlich mal etwas passiert oder offenbart wird. Not my cup of tea, aber hoffentlich gefällt's den Krimifans.

10 pages in and and the realization draws in that I only read trash (maybe with one or two exceptions) since the first part was published. Its so good!

It was a bit difficult to get into the story in the beginning, especially considering how big the book is. But the story now is very interesting and a lot less complex than I thought in the beginning. Still there are parts about a beeing called 'the Seed', whose perception of reality is very weird, I did not completely understand. Also not really about how its birth influences how time passes in the realm.
