Very much enjoying this travelogue/foodie book. I've long been a fan of Cloake's column in The Guardian on a Saturday, but this is my first time reading one of her books. The chapters I read today covered her time in California. Very pleased she visited El Cholo a great Mexican restaurant in Downtown LA where I had dinner when I was in LA in 2019. Highly recommended: both the book and the restaurant.
