I’m also sorta audiobooking this one too but I did actually check the book out from the library. For some reason, the scenario in this book was always much more terrifying to me than the Maze.

So many times I had to pause it so I didn’t cry at work 😮‍💨

There’s still so much of the book left and I’m so devastated.

This is surprising!! It’s kind of a slow ascent but a necessary one and not at all miserable or dragging. There’s lots of foreshadowing, enough to get me antsy about getting everything over with but also oooohh I looove a deep burn. I’m excited to get more under my belt c:

This is surprisingly a very easy read!! I do keep skipping pages ahead to prepare myself but jeez, the way I get through chunks of this at a time is really astonishing. Do I like what I’ve read so far??? Eh.

Ummmm I really hate how the actual blood relation to these women gets shoved aside so they can care for a boy. Like please don’t even piss me off before I’ve gotten to a relevant point in the story. Also hate how we’re lying but not instructing on how to keep the lie.

Ummm there’s a lot of characters!! But I kinda have everybody I think? Agatha, Robin, Millie, Amiee, Josh, Collette, Ryland, Peyton, Kennedy, Tyler, Jenna, their third whose name I forget, and almost every single person’s parents, best friends, random friends, dog from home that died years ago.

I’m a little lost on the plot and how its all correlated but ykw I like mundane!

I get nervous for Cam when inevitable comphet happens & cheer when good old sapphic pining occurs. I wish she could just age up out of her environment already, but alas..

I’m only a leeeettle confused on the characters and whose backstory is whose but it’s cool!! I feel like I have a lot of similarities with Millie. Also, I always wondered what it would be like to be born in or go to university in an obviously red & racist, kinda rural county as a Black person. But I suppose the devil you know…

Again, large print books are saving me!!

Why, yes! I did get a notification that this book is overdue as of 1/31/25 and decided to actually start it! And yes! I stayed up from 1 AM reading! Oh the joys of silly writing that can make me feel like a little kid again :3 eleven year old me would be delighted.

A book written by my kin featuring my kin… healing the timid little Ghana girl in me who knows so little about where she comes from.

I’m so excited but also scared for Cam… it’s only a matter of time until she gets reeeeaaaally reallyyyy found out. And fuck the swim team!! Mind your business!

I love the characters. And I love how this book builds on previous character lore even if it means I have to bookmark pages and go back to them every 12 seconds. Everybody is hiding so much and it’s a little treat every time Tuesday’s brain drops a clue to us!

I keep accidentally skimming instead of reading every word because now it’s so interesting and I need to know more immediately !!!

a little slow; the descriptors feel like poetry to be savored (difficult for me)
