This is an astonishingly blatant ripoff of Red White & Royal Blue. But RWRB is my favorite and I would read 20 of this kind of ripoff of it.

Slow start, I'm on Chapter 9 and very little has happened other than the protagonist being angry.

On page 521. It is a beautiful and horrific disordered thinking. The back and forth. "Let them all be spitted by Saint George, and Caro first on the point of the sword".

I appreciate that the author doesn't soften the narrator, he remains as brutal at the end as he is at the first.

This is a beautiful evocation of toxic masculinity. Nothing wrong in himself, but must all be the lying woman.

This repulsive narrator. It's rare I loathe a protagonist so much; I can find something sympathetic in nearly everyone. But the way he feels he is damned because he has sex with a man, rather than for murder and rape! And the continuing wish of it!
