...neither Testaments determine a meaning apart from what is already there in the passage. The N.T. for example may assert a different application of an O.T. passage but that does not re-interpret nor make it irrelevant. There's a harmony between the Testaments vs. transforming the meaning of a previous passage.

...all prophecies were fulfilled at Christ's first coming. Again, the dispensationalists do not pit the comings of Christ against each other. Advocates of non-dispen. herm. include: Beale, and N.T. Wright. The conclusion reiterates the 10 principles of Dispensational Herm. and the 7 principles of Non-Disp. Herm. Dr. Vlach is fair and insightful. This book is great because it is succinct, balanced, and informative.

Israel and Temple (besides Christ) are examples of O.T. prophecies that exhibit partial fulfillments. "Christ-centered" hermeneutics (insisting on finding Christ beyond the normal interpretive lenses, and "typological interpretation" are unnecessary since a proper hermeneutics already recognizes Christ and types. ..
