I love the characters, I love the story, and the world-building.

But holy fuck I am sick of the trains and the train stations and the names of the trains and the numbers and the tangle blah blah blah.

Remarkably poor idea to include a preface ensuring the reader they don't need to try to understand the setting's layout, then spend SO MUCH TIME describing and mapping out the setting. You told me it doesn't matter!!

One of my only gripes with the second book was the NPC quests taking up so much storyline when I felt like they weren't important in the grand scheme of the story.

So I'm glad they are staying away from quests in this one, and very glad more crawlers are getting involved
