Skip the preface or you might toss it before reading it. Annoying but infrequent Christian scriptures and commandments peppered in the chapters, and a big mistake in including 'physical attractiveness' as an emotional need (he did not make the case successfully)... but otherwise interesting/useful professional therapeutic content. A little dated from being written in the 1970's, but not too much.
