One appeal that I found was pathos because they used Ed's death for the reader to feel sympathy toward the ones affected.

The book made me ask the question of how often does racial injustice happen. Because it occurs in many books but not all of them are based on true stories.

So far I have learned about VZ's death and Jack is struggling with the death of VZ. One thing that I predict is that VZ's death will be more than just a random act of violence. It may turn into a big deal that gets the cops involved.

Right now in the book, Jack is learning about VZ's game and is connecting how the game relates to real life. What surprised me was how Jack started stepping out of his comfort zone and uncovering what happened to VZ's death.

The best part of reading today was how the tension in the mystery started building up and how Jack really dove deep into the investigation.

One question that came up was that How did the Kismet game and VZ's death start relating?

The strongest appeal that I found in the book was pathos. Jack mourns VZ's death which makes the reader feel Jack's pain which is a form of pathos.
