Whew, this has gotten so much better than it started out. Tension so far is crackling.

Only 20 pages in, and I’m already incredibly annoyed. I picked this up because of the blurb and the author and the fun cover, but upon getting home with it, I found the trigger warning on the inside that says it’s really about domination submission and kink. Sigh. And the book is already jumping into that a mere 20 pages in. Not tucking anyone’s yum, but it feels contrived and like an attempt at edgy.
