I have one chapter left. I’ve been avoiding finishing it because it’s just too real. The miscommunication. The timing. The power they hold over one another. The senselessness of it all. I always knew this book would destroy me. Does there always have to be an end to every good thing?

I think what I don’t like is the apathetic characters in all of sally rooney’s books. The nonchalant too cool to care types are so annoying. Like you obviously care that Connell is keeping you a secret stop trying to be quirky!!!!!
Also does Sally Rooney just hate quotation marks or is it an Irish thing?
I have high expectations bc this is one of Rae’s favorites.
