Small Styrofoam cups - like really small, the ones that make you wonder, What's the point if it only holds one sip? -

decor that seemed perfectly suited to this museum of the damned [the nursing home the author's grandma now lived in]

So many awnings. Allentown got a lot of rain, and everyone apparently wanted to keep their precious doorways dry.

Allentown was gray, though. In my memory, it was devoid of any other color. The sky, buildings, and the people were all different shades of gray, and not the sexy kind.
