its funny- the novel doesn't feel as absurd as it probably should or was intended to, since this was our lived experience for two years. I also couldn't comprehend the gravity of the situation when it happened.
The grim powerlesness depicted here is very comparable to my feelings about the world as of now. Which isnt tied to the pandemic, just that everything sucks rn politically
